We turned the church yard into a state park - complete with
camper-trailer, tents, and a marshmallow roasting fire-pit. We explored the spiritual significance of water, especially in the biblical stories of Creation, the Exodus, and the Baptism of Jesus. Thanks goes to Jeanne Thrasher, Mark Alkire, and Tom Hudson for their leadership. And, thanks goes to the many other helpers who slept on the ground, cooked meals, herded kids, and generally kept things moving smoothly. It was a GREAT weekend! |
